Step 1

Description
This is a one month course (160 hours) in Early Childhood Education. This course is continuation of Introduction to ECD (First level)
In this course besides working on a different mindset, the trainees learn and practice skills needed to implement the play way method.
Topics related to teaching young children according to their psychological and developmental needs are worked out in a very practical way.
This course has been accredited by the Council of Technical and Vocational Training of the Government of Nepal.

6 days of practical assignments in a practical school.

Target group
(Pre) school teachers who have already completed Step-1 Level-1.
Anybody who wants to learn how to teach young children.

Duration
160 hours (including 30 hours of level 1)
during 1 month (day course 9:00 am to 3:30 pm) 5 days a week
during 5 weeks in the morning (6:30 – 8:30 am) 5 days a week
during 5 weeks in the evening (4:00 – 6:00 pm) 5 days a week
Remarks
If trainees who have finished the introduction course step 1 level 1, want to continue in the step 1 course, do not have to repeat the first week of step 1, but can start at level 2.
Only if the continuation is within 3 months after finishing level 1.
If the gap is longer than 3 months they have to start at level 1 again.

Note: The course has been running in blended mode. Duration: 17 days(Virtual)/2 hours/day & 14 days (Face-to-Face) - 6 hours/day

Remarks: This ECEC training is available at TSTEC who is recognised as a partner organisation. The certification will be done by both ECEC and TSTEC.
